Bayi Rally Past Guangdong 100-91

Bayi rolled to a 100-91 win over visiting Guangdong in the China Basketball Association league.

Veteran Liu Yudong scored game-high 28 points as Bayi rolled to a 100-91 win over visiting Guangdong in the China Basketball Association league.

Bayi, who are four points behind Guangdong as the latter still have one game at hand, were eager to stop their opponents at home as the visiting team was without injured star Jason Dixon Lamar.

Mo Ke and Zhang Jingsong added 24 and 23 respectively for Bayi, while Li Nan also contributed 16 as the home squad made 17 steals against nine for the visitors.

Guangdong's starters almost played their whole 48 minutes, with only two substitutes combined for two minutes and 19 seconds without any shooting attempt throughout.

Du Feng led Guangdong with 23 points, Wang Shipeng added 22.

In Luoyang, Henan, who tailed in the North Division, defeated second-placed Beijing 103-81 for their 10th victory in 33 games.

Johns Darrell scored 28 points and grabbed 15 points for Henan, while Wang Zhanyu and Wu Wei combined for 38.

Olumide Oyedeji, who made his 20th double-doubles with 29 points and 12 rebounds, failed to stop Beijing from suffering their away defeat as Chen Lei became his aide with 21 points.

In other games, Jiangsu held their home record intact after beating Yunnan 118-95; Zhejiang defeated Fujian 82-78; Xinjiang Guanghui powered to a 121-98 victory over Jilin; Shaanxi lost to division-leaders Liaoning 99-117.
